From Manila to Banaue
- Option 1: By Bus
- Take an overnight bus from Manila to Banaue. Several bus companies, such as Ohayami Trans and Coda Lines, operate daily trips.
- Travel Time: 8–10 hours.
- Fare: Approximately ₱800–₱1,000/way depending on the bus company and class of service. Please take into account the fare going to the bus station.
- Departure Points: Bus terminals in Cubao or Sampaloc, Manila.
- Schedule: Buses typically leave in the evening, between 8:00 PM and 10:00 PM, arriving in Banaue early the next morning.
- Option 2: By Private Vehicle
- Drive or hire a private van for a more flexible schedule.
- Travel Time: Approximately 9–10 hours.
- Note: Roads are winding and Zigzag, so it’s recommended to travel with an experienced driver.
From Banaue to Batad
- Hire a jeepney or tricycle from Banaue town to Batad Saddle Point, the closest road access to Batad
- Travel Time: 1–1.5 hours.
- Fare: ₱150–₱300 per person for tricycles (shared) or ₱1,500–₱2,000 for a private jeepney (good for groups).
- Road Conditions: The road can be rough and steep, so prepare for a bumpy ride.
Trekking from Batad Saddle Point to Batad Village
- You will have to secure a Guide from Banaue for the Trek from Saddle Point to Batad Village
- From the Saddle Point, you’ll need to trek down to the village. The trail is moderately steep but manageable with proper footwear and a reasonable fitness level.
- Trek Time: 20–30 minutes.
- Porters: Local porters can assist with carrying luggage if needed, for a small fee.
